Our PT focuses on getting you fit no matter your starting point.
Personal Training isn't just for people looking to lose weight. Personal Training is looking after your long term health. Our 1:1 PT Sessions take place in our fully equipped Performance Room in Aberdare, away from the hustle and bustle of the gym with you having exclusive use of the room for your sessions.
All new PT clients start with an Initial Assessment for all new starters., It's a chance for you and your Personal Trainer to discuss your goals (I.E. Weight loss, strengthening, toning, flexibility, health related etc), your previous training experience and to work out what's the best way of moving forward with your goals. Our Personal Trainer will also take some baseline measurements to see where you are at the moment which helps to see your improvements over time.
WHAT DOES THE INITIAL ASSESSMENT INVOLVE?
Your Fitness Assessment with Luke will involve a discussion about your current fitness levels and your personal goals for training. You will also undergo a series of tests to assess your fitness including:
Resting Blood Pressure
Resting Heart Rate
Joint Motion Testing
Baseline Strength tests
A baseline assessment is required prior to undertaking 1:1 PT sessions or receiving an individualised exercise programme. This is to evaluate your current fitness levels and to be able to provide you with the correct level of intensity in order to achieve a positive effect, whether in a 1:1 session or if you wished to undertake your exercise programme alone.
