Aromatherapy Massage could help ease the pain of IBS!

Do you suffer with IBS ? (Irritable bowel Syndrome)

Have you ever thought of using Aromatherapy Massage to help ease the symptoms of your IBS?

Read on and Clare will give you an insight into how it may help you.

What is IBS?

IBS is a disorder of the lower bowel, usually occurring between 20-40 years of age. The symptoms would usually consist of constipation, diarrhoea and colicky pain giving rise to noisy rumblings and wind.

Emotional factors play a large role in this disorder, with IBS being prominent particularly in individuals who are anxious or overconscientious.

What to expect?

As a Massage Therapist/Aromatherapist I have worked with essential oils for over a decade and many clients have informed me of the benefits they have felt from their individual treatment plan. The relaxing massage reduces stress, whilst the aroma of the specific oils provide potential benefits to ease your symptoms of IBS*.

What oils do I use?

I use the following oils during the treatments and have provided a list of their potential benefits:

Fennel:

Analgesic, antispasmodic, digestive (constipation, diarrhoea, flatulance)

Peppermint:

Analgesic, anti-inflammatory, digestive

(Diarrhea, flatulance)

Rosemary:

Analgesic, antispasmodic, digestive

(Constipation, flatulance)

If you suffer with IBS, please contact us to book your appointment via telephone, email, through our online booking system or feel free to pop into our clinic.
